As I’ve told you before, the Atlanta Braves call Champion Stadium at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex home during spring training.
This year, for the second time, Disney Sports is going to honor real American heroes at the Braves game on Saturday by making half-price tickets, on certain seats, available to them.
Additionally, the first ball will be thrown out by a member of the military. Disney has a number of other things planned during the game including a sign-along to a medley of military anthems.
This is just another way that Disney supports the military including putting an emphasis on hiring veterans through their Heroes Work Here program. To date they’ve hired about 3,000 veterans.
You can purchase general admission tickets and the specially priced military personnel tickets at the Sports Complex box office.
If you’re in the area, you love baseball and you’re a member of the military, you might want to head over to the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex on Saturday afternoon. If you’re not military, you will get a chance to help honor those who give so much for our freedom and to watch a Braves-Marlin game.
Keep moving …
